Goldtrowel are pleased to now offer this 6 week Site Ready Skimming Course in association with British Gypsum. This course is fully funded by British Gypsum in order to help fill the demand for site skimmers. This course will teach individuals boarding and skimming large area`s commonly required on today's building sites. The £500 deposit is NON REFUNDABLE until the course is completed with a pass or above, as we have to register you with British Gypsum.

Free Plastering Course Description.

This course, funded by British Gypsum, teaches you how to skim plaster large areas (up to 25sqm) in one go. You'll learn to use modern tools like speed skims and spatulas. In just 30 days, you'll gain the skills needed to work on-site as a skimmer plasterer.

What you will learn on this Skimming Course.

How to use plastering trowels, tools and equipment.
Usage and characteristics of different types of plaster.
Correctly using primers and bonding agents.
Accessing CSCS cards.
Types of plasterboard and their uses.
Skimming using trowels, spatulas and speed skims.
How to mix plaster correctly.
Preparing backgrounds.
How to set up as self employed.
Site health and Safety.
Cutting and fixing plasterboard.
Applying plaster to large areas.

Additionally we will give you all the help and information you will need to start working on site.

Site Skimming Funded Plastering Course

This skimming course is for those who have had some site experience or who are currently working with plasterers and want to advance from labourer to plasterer quickly.
